Avishay Mizrav
Avishay Mizrav was born on january 1st, 1981. His passion for music and guitars started when he was 8 years old and it still burns to this
day.
At the age of 16, Avishay started playing in his first band, a metal band called "Disharmony" (aka "Metal Militia"). They worked together
for a couple of years and experimented in writing and composing songs, they almost got an album worth of songs and even recorded one of
them. They had a few shows in their city and altogether it seemed promising.
These times were a real buildup for Avishay, working with the band and learning guitar with his all time favorite teacher Yuval Hen.

About a year after Disharmony broke up, Avishay met a young promising singer, Dudi Sarusi. They started working together on Dudi's music
and formed a new band, "Colitis" - Classic rock with bits of metal, progressive and grunge.
Since that day avishay has been devoting most of his time and efforts to this band. The band went through a lot of musician changes
throughout the years, especially in the drum & bass section.
By the year 2002 they had finally formed a group that they thought at the time would be final and so they started recording their first
album "Bin Sidkai Hakir" in "Mute Studios", runned by Liron Boberman who is a friend of the band and offered to record them for free as
his first big project, and theirs too.
The recording, editing and pre-mixing of this album were done by Liron Boberman and Avishay Mizrav. Final mixing proccess was done in
"Tzolelet Studios" by Guy Webb and the mastering was done by Tali Katz at "Master One Studios".
The album is now complete and is available for purchase.
In 2006 the band went through another change in lineup which still holds till today.

Avishay also plays in a cover band named "Captain Ramzi". They play rock, blues, funk, soul, etc. They cover artists like: Deep Purple,
The Beatles, Joe Cocker, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, The Police, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Pink Floyd and many others.
In the past few years Avishay was involved in a few other projects, including Oshik Nizry, Dudi Aaron, Shay Levy, Keren Sinai, Manhattan
and others.
Since mid 2008 Avishay has been working on his debut album "Forgotten Melodies". He has been writing, recording, mixing and creating his
first album with great passion. By 2010 he had all the tracks laid down and ready for the final mastering phase which was done by Maor
Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering - California - U.S.A (F5 - David Ellefson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Halford, Therion and many others).
And now he needs your voice to carry his music around the world to those with the same need, urge and passion for music!
Two tracks from this album won the first place in Ourstage Instrumental channel, Knight Templar on August 2008 and Radical Emotions on
December 2008. Knight Templar also reached the Semi-Finals on the ISC (International Song Competition) in 2009.
