Getting the Whole Picture
As an Israeli citizen and resident, I sometimes wonder how Israel looks like from the outside.
I get the picture of Israel as a whole from the media, combined with what I've learned in history lessons and from people I know. All the more
so, people from outside of Israel know about it from what they learn from the media. It's important to remember that one medium doesn't give
you the whole picture - you always have to check multiple sources to get it.
I don't like the people from other countries that think they know about Israel more than I do. I don't care if they have heard the news from
"independent journalists". They don't live here. A man from the city of Londonderry in Northern Ireland once told me that he prefers not to
express his opinion about the situation in Israel, just as he does not expect me to do so about the situation in Northern Ireland.
I believe that the state of Israel is not completely innocent, but its main interest is to ensure that its citizens live in peace and security.
It is a known fact that the Palestinians manipulate facts they publicize. The Palestinians are a non-democratic society; they don't give their
people the freedom of speech, nor do they give them the freedom of hearing different opinions. The Palestinians are lead by terror
organizations that promote violence and hatred. They have television programs for children that teach them to hate Israel. Think about it:
When was the last time you managed to hear a Palestinian from Gaza speak against Hamas?
Israelis are exposed to many television channels, radio stations, newspapers and news websites on the uncensored internet, alongside with
foreign media. I can hear various voices, opinions and point of views from them. I can even hear Israelis criticize the state of Israel. I
cannot know if one specific medium is telling the exact truth, but I can get a much better version of it, combining many media channels together.
Just a few days ago, there was a story in one of the big newspapers in Sweden, about Israeli soldiers killing innocent Palestinians in order
to sell their organs. Notice that it was publicized only in one newspaper, and wasn't back upped anywhere else. How could you know that the
story was not fabricated? How do you know who is standing behind the story?
My recommendation to you is to check your sources. Don't stick to only one source of information, but to multiple sources.

I know how much the Israeli people are demonized. Many parties of Christians visit Israel on a regular basis and remark how hospitable the jewish people are and very welcoming.
