Hamas, Egypt clash across sealed border; 1 dead
It seems that Hamas is a threat not only to Israel's security, but to Egypt's too. Why are Hamas and Egypt fighting? Is Egypt conquering
Palestinian land? Is Egypt attacking Gaza strip on a regular basis with tanks and planes? What does Hamas have against Egypt?
Hamas is smuggling weapons through tunnels that go underneath the border between Gaza Strip and Egypt. Consequently, Egypt is building a
steel wall that goes deep underground, in order to disable the tunnels and stop the smuggling. Hamas has complained that the wall is
preventing Palestinians food.
No country in the world likes to be threatened. No country would stay quiet when weapons are smuggled to it or through it. Gaza Strip
borders with Israel and Egypt, and Hamas, which rules the strip, is threatening both its neighbors' security. There is no foreign army
placed in Gaza Strip. It is free to rule itself independently. Why can't Hamas live in peace with its neighbors? Egypt doesn't want to
hold Gaza Strip or fight it. Egypt hasn't ruled Gaza Strip since 1967, and never wanted it back since – even though it insisted of getting
all of Sinai back. Israel doesn't want to hold Gaza Strip or fight it either – It has withdrawn its army and its settlements from the
strip more than four years ago.
If there's anyone from Hamas reading this blog post, I have a message for you: Stop threatening our security, and we will open the
borders between us, letting you get anything you need and want.
