RSS - Really Simple Syndication

RSS is a group of file formats used to publish frequently updated content in websites, such as blog posts and news articles, in a standardized format. An RSS file is called a "feed", and software that reads and displays RSS feeds is called a "reader" or an "aggregator". There are many programs, desktop based, web based and mobile device based, that read and display RSS feeds. A user can subscribe to an RSS feed by submitting its URL (address) to the reader, and then will get notified whenever the RSS feed is updated.

One of the methods I use for publishing updates in Face Global – Blog of an Artist is an RSS feed. Its URL (address) is: http://www.faceglobal.com/FaceGlobalRssFeed.xml

I'll guide you how to subscribe to my RSS feed in several programs. If you want to get updated automatically whenever I post a new post on my blog, choose a program from below and follow the instructions under it. If you prefer to use an RSS reader that isn't listed below, follow the instructions in the chosen reader.

Windows Internet Explorer
  • Click this link or copy it to the address bar of Internet Explorer (open a new Explorer window to also stay on this page): http://www.faceglobal.com/FaceGlobalRssFeed.xml
  • You will see the blog's title in a yellow rectangle. Under it you will see a list of my blog posts. The title of each post links to the post on the blog. Click on "Subscribe to this feed" in the yellow rectangle.
  • An alert window will appear, titled "Subscribe to this Feed". Click "Subscribe".
