Twitter is Here to Stay
Twitter is an amazing phenomenon. Its concept is very simple: write whatever you can in 140 characters. It appears to be the dumbest website in the world. On the other hand, its popularity proves that it isn't so dumb.
Apparently, many people don't need more than 140 characters to express themselves. Looking at it from the readers' side, most of them aren't up to reading long sophisticated novels.
When there were riots in Iran about two years ago, and the government didn't allow foreign reporters in, the people spread the word, the picture and the video about the riots to the world via Twitter. Twitter, with its
availability, promotes human rights around the world.
I use Twitter to promote my blog. You won't believe how many views I get to my blog posts when I post a link on Twitter. I'm not the first one to use Twitter to promote things. Businesses, politicians, webmasters and
artists use Twitter to promote themselves, ant it appears to be very useful and effective.
Not everybody has what to do in Twitter. Not everybody has something to promote or something to say in less than 140 characters or at all, and not everybody is interested in reading what Twitter has to offer. Therefore
I would not recommend it to everyone. Twitter can be a powerful tool for some people, and useless for others. You can like the concept of Twitter, you can dislike it, but it would be very hard to ignore it.
