World Climate

A conference has opened in Copenhagen discussing the world climate and the human affect on it.

There is a debate whether the world climate is really affected by human activity. I don't know about the history of temperatures in the world, but there's no doubt about air pollution and other pollutions of waters and grounds. In the biggest cities in the world, for example, breathing the air is like smoking two packs of cigarettes a day.

Planet Earth has seen several changes and catastrophes in its life. There are people who say that climate changes in recent decades are just one of these changes, it's natural and it has nothing to do with modern human life. So what if it's natural? Human nature is to survive, and if the current climate changes risk humanity, humanity has to do something about it.

The problem is that everybody thinks in short terms and about oneself. What do I care if people have no clean air to breathe when I get my big fat salary from selling crude oil? What do I care about global warming, when I sit here in my air conditioned room?

A big amount of the air pollution and global warming is caused by the use of crude oil products such as gasoline. Most of the crude oil is produced in countries that support terrorism, like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Venezuela and more. Not only these countries are responsible for terror attacks in the whole world – They are earning a lot of money watching the world as it covers itself with smoke.

In Copenhagen, I believe that politicians will not do much more than talk or do minor changes. Major changes should come from the people. For example, if you leave your private car at home, and use public transportation or a clean vehicle (bicycle, walking, etc.) instead, you avoid air pollution. You might say that one person cannot make a serious difference, but if many people left their cars at home, it will be a big difference, most likely the biggest.

If we dont act, the future generation of our grand grand children would be gone.
